Clerkship Examination 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification required for WBPSC Clerkship Examination 2023 is as follows:

a. Completion of the Madhyamik examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

b. Proficiency in basic computer operation, coupled with the capability to type at a speed of 20 words per minute in English or 10 words per minute in Bengali.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old as of January 1, 2023, with a birthdate not earlier than January 2, 1983, and not later than January 1, 2005.

WBPSC Clerkship Examination 2023 Candidates’ Selection:

Candidates will be selected through the Clerkship Examination 2023, which comprises two successive stages: i) Part-I (Objective Type) and ii) Part-II (Conventional Type – Written). Only candidates who qualify in the written examination will proceed to demonstrate elementary knowledge of computer operation and typing skills. The Direct Recruitment Examination is scheduled to take place at various centers in Kolkata and specific districts in West Bengal. WBPSC Clerkship 2023 Application Fee: 

Candidates must pay Rs.110/- as Application Fee.

Fee can be paid Online mode during the submission of the online application form by using a Debit/Credit card Net banking or any other option available. See the officially released advertisement for more details.

NO APPLICATION FEE IS REQUIRED IN THE CASE OF SC/ST AND PWD CANDIDATES

Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of the West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC)

Upon successful payment of the prescribed fee and submission of the online application form, the system-generated Registration/acknowledgment slip with a unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Part-I (Objective Type):

Total Marks: 100
Subjects: English (30 marks), General Studies (40 marks), Arithmetic (30 marks)

Part II (Conventional Type – Written):

Duration: 1 hour
Total Marks: 100
Subjects: English (Group A, 50 marks), Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali (Group B, 50 marks)
